KCCU scholarship application
things to know...
- Attend an accredited community college or university within Michigan or be working towards a certification or degree program in the trades at a state supported community college or institution
- Scholarships are available to traditional and non-traditional students
- Be enrolled as a full-time student (12+ credit hours) for the Fall 2025 semester
- Send KCCU proof of full time status after enrollment by August 15, 2025
- Be a member of KCCU and their account must be in good standing
- Demonstrate academic achievement and community involvement
- Applicants may not be KCCU employees, board members, their immediate family, or members of the same household (whether related or not).
- Complete KCCU Scholarship application package including:
- completed online form
- photo submission
- and video submission or essay
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Every qualified candidate will be considered and evaluated on the individual’s demonstration of good character, citizenship, and leadership.

Applicant submission must state their name and answer the following questions:
- Explain your future educational plans.
- How would this scholarship impact you?
- Why do you believe you are the best candidate for the KCCU scholarship?
Video submission guidelines
- Video length should be 1.5-2 minutes
- File size should not exceed 5GB
- Acceptable file formats: mpeg, mov, or mp4
