About Becky

KCCU welcomed Becky Schutz to the KCCU mortgage team in August 2023. She is the Mortgage Loan Originator working out of our Richland branch, serving homebuyers of Richland, Delton, Hickory Corners, and Augusta. Becky is committed to helping homebuyers find the right program to purchase their first home or dream home, while guiding them though the entire process, from application to closing table.

Becky is a home loan expert with over 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry. She started her mortgage career as a receptionist and quickly moved through the ranks, holding a variety of mortgage processing and closing roles. She has valuable experience working with mortgage originators, processors, underwriters, and title companies. Becky uses her skills and experience to provide impeccable service to her clients to ensure a hassle-free, smooth loan process.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to help our members with their mortgage financing needs,” states Becky. “Purchasing a home is big deal, and I hope that I can help alleviate some of the stress of that process for our members.”

Prior joining KCCU, Becky served as the Assistant Closing Manager for a national mortgage lender. Her experience gives her a unique perspective and sense of urgency that proves beneficial to the KCCU members she serves.

Becky is a member of the Greater Kalamazoo Area Relators (GKAR) and enjoys networking and building strong relationships with local real estate partners.

Outside of the office, Becky enjoys doting on her beloved German Shepherd, Otto, as well as spending time with friends and family. She loves traveling, being outdoors, hiking and kayaking. Becky is proud to give back to others by being a regular blood donor, and admits, “It feels good to save lives!” She is also a lifetime member of the VFW women’s auxiliary, under her father, who served in Vietnam.

About Nita

Whether you’re a first-time home buyer or purchasing your forever home, Nita is passionate about helping you. She is committed to keeping members informed every step of the way to make the home-buying or refinancing process as smooth as possible.

With over 11 years of experience as a mortgage loan originator and more than 23 years in the banking industry, Nita is highly knowledgeable about various loan products and grants. She ensures that members are in the right product to fit their unique needs. She takes pride in making the process as worry-free as possible.

"The most rewarding part of my career is helping our members attain their dream of homeownership. Buying a home is one of the biggest purchases they will make, and it can be very stressful. I like to be here to take the stress out of the home-buying process and put our members at ease," she said.

Nita is the treasurer of the Women's Council of Realtors Southwestern and on the advocacy committee at GKAR. She likes networking with local Real Estate professionals and giving back to the community by volunteering.

Between Nita and her husband, they have 4 kids, 2 Rottweiler's, a Siamese cat, chickens, and quail! They stay busy with family and enjoy hiking waterfalls, fishing, kayaking, and vacationing to new places. Disney is a favorite for Nita’s family.

Before joining KCCU, Justin was a Senior Relationship Manager in Wealth Management for a national financial institution.

“For 9 years, I helped clients navigate their financial journeys -- whether it was managing daily banking needs, growing their investments, planning for retirement, securing various types of insurance, or ensuring their legacy through estate planning. Now, I’ve taken that expertise and channeled it into helping people achieve one of life’s biggest milestones: homeownership!,” Justin said.

Outside of work Justin enjoys traveling, golfing, going to baseball and college football games, and spending time on Lake Michigan with family and friends.

Giving back to the community is important to Justin. He has volunteered his time with Loaves and Fishes, PNC's Grow Up Great, and FEMA. He also enjoys networking with real estate professionals around West Michigan, and being a member of great organizations like GKAR.
