KCCU Coat Drive Brings Warmth to Communities This Winter9/11/2026

KCCU will launch its annual Coat Drive on September 14, carrying forward a long-standing tradition of supporting local families and individuals in the colder months ahead. The drive will continue through October 30, with donations accepted in the lobby of any KCCU branch location. As temperatures drop, some households face difficult choices when it comes to meeting basic needs, including warm clothing. KCCU remains committed to helping bridge that gap and is confident the generosity of its members, staff, and community partners will once again make a meaningful impact.

KCCU is dedicated to helping ensure everyone has access to essential cold-weather items. The credit union is collecting new and gently used coats, snow pants, hats, mittens, and scarves that are clean and in good condition. Donations are welcome in all sizes, from infants to adults. All collected items will be shared with local families in need through KCCU’s network of community partners.

“KCCU’s commitment to our communities goes far beyond banking,” said KCCU CEO Tracy Miller. “As the temperatures drop, we feel a strong responsibility to help ensure our neighbors are safe, warm, and cared for. The Coat Drive is a meaningful expression of our ‘people helping people’ mission, and it’s truly inspiring to see how our members, staff, and community partners come together each year. Every donation represents kindness in action, and we are so thankful to everyone who helps bring comfort to families and individuals during the coldest months of the year.”

KCCU’s vision statement includes “providing opportunity and lifelong value to our members and our community.” The credit union takes this commitment seriously, and for 22 years, it has hosted a Coat Drive in partnership with community-based organizations as part of its ongoing dedication to that vision.
